Plantation Life & Experiences

Sakleshpur is famous for its coffee plantations that produce some of the finest Arabica and Robusta coffee in India. Many estates offer homestay experiences where visitors can stay in colonial-era bungalows, take guided plantation walks, learn about coffee processing from bean to cup, and enjoy freshly brewed coffee amid the serene surroundings.

Besides coffee, the region grows cardamom, pepper, vanilla, and Areca nut. The Green Route (a stretch of the abandoned railway line) has become a popular trekking trail, winding through 20 scenic tunnels and over numerous bridges amidst lush greenery.

Other activities include bird watching (the region is home to over 200 species of birds), waterfall visits (like Manjehalli and Mallali Falls), and visits to the ancient Sakleshpur Temple and the nearby Manjarabad Fort.
